1964-1972 Chevelle Lock Bell Crank Bushing
The 1964-1972 Chevelle Lock Bell Crank Bushing (Each) is a factory-correct, high-durability replacement nylon sleeve engineered to restore smooth, rattle-free operation to your classic’s door lock linkages. Within the inner door cavities of GM A-Body cars, the steel rod linkages connect to a pivoting metal bell crank assembly. These tiny nylon bushings sleeve the rod pivot points to isolate metal-on-metal friction. Sold individually (each), a complete vehicle overhaul requires 4 bushings per car (two per door) to refresh both front doors completely.
🛠️ Key Product Specifications & Features
- Anti-Rattle Engineering: Cures the annoying inner-door rattling caused by loose, bare steel rods vibrating against the bell crank arms over bumps.
- Premium Mechanical Composition: Molded from premium, high-density self-lubricating nylon that resists moisture, temperature extremes, and mechanical shear forces inside the door frame.
- Crisp Key & Lock Function: Eliminates sloppy “dead play” at your door lock knobs and key cylinders by tightening up the clearances within the internal mechanism rods.
- Universal GM A-Body Fitment: Manufactured to exact original equipment manufacturer (OEM) dimensions for a direct push-in fit across the standard GM A-Body platform spanning the 1964–1972 model years:
- Chevrolet: Chevelle, Malibu, El Camino, Monte Carlo
- Pontiac: GTO, LeMans, Tempest, Grand Prix
- Oldsmobile: Cutlass, 442, F-85
- Buick: Skylark, GS
