1966-1967 Chevelle Quarter Glass Hardware Kit
1966-1967 Chevelle Quarter Glass Hardware Kit, is a comprehensive restoration package designed to overhaul the mechanical assembly of the rear side windows. If your quarter glass is shaking, skipping, or sticking inside the rear panel, replacing the decades-old, deteriorated tracks and guide bushings with a fresh hardware set restores smooth, factory-reliable window travel.
These kits are typically bundled to provide enough hardware to rebuild both the driver-side (LH) and passenger-side (RH) rear quarter windows at the same time.
What’s Typically Included in the Kit
To completely refresh the underlying roller assemblies located inside the rear quarter panels, a factory-correct master kit generally includes:
- Window Guide Rollers: High-durability nylon or steel rollers that glide inside the vertical guide tracks.
- Plastic/Nylon Washers & Spacers: Anti-friction structural washers that eliminate metal-on-glass grinding.
- Mounting Gaskets: Die-cut backing cushion gaskets designed to mount securely behind the window roller plate to keep water out.
Quarter window mechanics on GM A-body vehicles can be tricky to align. When sliding your new rollers into the vertical guides, keep the lower main track and adjusting studs loosely threaded at first. Wiggle the window regulator arm rollers into position, roll the assembly up and down manually to verify that it aligns evenly with the roof rail and B-pillar, and then lock your adjustment nuts down firmly with a wrench. Make sure to apply a generous layer of white lithium grease inside the metal channel tracks to ensure fluid, friction-free movement before reassembling the interior side panels.
