1970-1972 Temperature Sender (ea)
The 1970-1972 Temperature Sender (ea) is a factory-correct replacement engine coolant sensor designed to monitor your motor’s operating temperatures. It threads directly into the cylinder head cooling jackets to relay electrical resistance based on coolant heat levels.
When sourcing this sender, verifying your dashboard layout is critical. This specific unit features the plug-in terminal block style and is engineered natively for standard baseline/Malibu dashboards equipped with “idiot light” warning lamps rather than analog needle sweep gauges.
(Note: If your vehicle has a Super Sport or upgraded round-pod gauge instrumentation cluster, you will need a variable-ohm transducer sender rather than a warning light switch to prevent your dashboard needle from jumping straight to maximum hot).
