1964-1972 Front Door Glass Rub Block (4 per car) (sold in pairs)
1964-1972 Front Door Glass Rub Block (4 per car) (sold in pairs), is a direct-fit replacement helper block designed to maintain structural alignment inside the door cavity. These small push-in blocks function by keeping your heavy moving window glass securely positioned so it cannot slide inward or outward and rattle against the internal raw metal of the inner door panel shell.
Because each 2-door hardtop or convertible requires 4 blocks per car (2 per door), they are conveniently sold in pairs. You will need to purchase two sets to completely overhaul both the driver and passenger front doors.
- Essential Function: Prevents severe glass-to-metal contact inside the door frame, eliminating annoying window rattles, wobbling, and structural scratches on fresh glass surfaces.
- Simple Mechanical Fit: Engineered as a push-in style bumper that pops securely into the original factory mounting slots along the door structure.
- Multi-Vehicle Interchangeability: While predominantly categorized for the 1964–1972 Chevrolet Chevelle, Malibu, and El Camino, these components share universal dimensions across the GM A-body platform. They fit seamlessly on the Pontiac GTO/LeMans, Oldsmobile Cutlass/442, Buick Skylark, and Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
Installation TipWhenever you are completely overhauling your inner door mechanics or replacing a door skin, it is best to mock up the windows with these rub blocks completely dry.
